The Best Dressed Stars of the Week Ramped Up Holiday Glamour

With Thanksgiving next week, the 2025 holiday season is officially upon us—and December will soon be here, with plenty of glamorous and festive parties to attend. The best dressed stars of the week already embraced this fashion mood: Stylish celebrities, from Kim Kardashian to Tessa Thompson, slipped into fabulous looks that were heavy on exquisite velvets, tulle, and sexy suits.

Earlier this week, the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, was a prime example of festive dressing done right, while attending the Royal Variety Performance in London. The royal sported a deep-green velvet gown by Talbot Runhof, and paired it with Cartier earrings that belonged to the late Queen. Another thematic holiday hue—red—was given its shine by Gwendoline Christie at the GQ Men of the Year Awards: Her satiny red statement coat was courtesy of Givenchy.

Even the more demure ensembles, in shades of black or white, still felt elegant and regal thanks to their cascading chiffons, lace, and tulle. At the premiere of Hamnet, Jessie Buckley donned a Valentino tuxedo coat with sheer draping along the front. Lady Gaga also went sleek in her new Tom Ford suit, though hers was in a minty green—and styled with a sexy bra top.

Closing out the week, meanwhile, were Wicked: For Good stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande. They each concluded their press tour in matching theatrical full-ballgown looks—Erivo in Balenciaga, and Grande in Schiaparelli Couture. What, you expected them not to finish out the tour with a bang? Guess we are finally done with their high-fashion Elphaba and Glinda looks…for good.
