Bill Belichick Takes First Head Coach Interview For 2025 Hiring Cycle
Longtime and legendary head coach Bill Belichick entered the 2024 season without a job, as the former New England Patriots leader missed out on the hiring cycle in 2024. Despite interviewing twice for the vacant head coach position with the Atlanta Falcons, Belichick was passed over for Raheem Morris.
Instead of Belichick just waiting for 2025 to roll around, he engaged in plenty of on-air analyst roles instead. He became a weekly guest on the “Manningcast” along with appearing multiple times on “The Pat McAfee Show.” Though it would be believed he would make a nice living as a broadcaster, the famed coach is ready to get back to leading.
It has been revealed that Belichick has interviewed for his first head coaching position, but not at the NFL level. In fact, he has received his first interview with UNC.
Belichick had been making his rounds to colleges this offseason, including joining his son at Washington and also spending a lot of time with Matt Rhule at Nebraska. Though he did not take any sort of consulting job at the collegiate level, which a lot of NFL coaches do, Belichick appears to want to give the NCAA another shot.
