Cindy Crawford Revisits Her Burgundy Monochrome Formula in Strappy Aquazzura Sandals

Cindy Crawford returned to burgundy monochrome on Thursday, but she traded her last look’s architectural heel for an equally strappy sandal with a barely-there feel.

The supermodel wore Aquazzura’s Talk to Me sandals to the Forbes Power Women’s Summit at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York. Cut in glossy burgundy patent, the open-toe pair featured slender straps fanning across the toes before meeting at one side of the foot. Another slim strap crossed the instep on a diagonal and continued into a slingback, while a narrow stiletto heel completed the barely-there construction.

Crawford matched the sandals to a burgundy suit with a long blazer and wide-leg trousers. She wore the jacket open over a fluid camisole with a low neckline, while a coordinating belt continued the monochromatic aesthetic. The trouser hems nearly covered the shoes, leaving the patent straps and open toes to break through beneath the tailoring.

It was Crawford’s second head-to-toe outing in the color family this year. At the 2026 WWD Style Awards in January, she paired a one-shoulder Khaite dress with Schutz’s Annie Curve sandals in Vino patent leather. That pair wrapped the foot with four straps and balanced on a sharply angled 4.7-inch stiletto. Her Aquazzura sandals took the opposite route: finer straps, a slimmer profile and very little shoe between the suit and the floor.

Barely there Aquazzura sandals have been making the rounds lately.
