Mattel has unveiled its official 2026 Barbie Día De Muertos doll, celebrating the upcoming Day of the Dead (Nov. 2).

Available now on Amazon, the annual release is a highly-anticipated collector’s item, and this year’s edition goes all out, with a brunette Barbie wearing a luxurious satin gown, accented with embroidered skeleton and calavera detailing, and finished with puffy sleeves, peplum hem and a sweeping train. A lace collar snakes around the neck, providing the perfect setting for an ornate necklace, inspired by traditional artwork.

Barbie’s matching skeleton mask, meantime, is at once sophisticated and dramatic, surrounded by sculpted roses and sugar skull accents that frame her face. The mask can be removed to reveal Barbie’s full makeup look. Drop earrings and black lace gloves complete the Día De Muertos theme.

Barbie Signature Día De Muertos Collectible Doll

$80.00

The Día De Muertos Barbie doll is an officially-licensed release from Mattel and each doll comes in a display box with a stand and certificate of authenticity. Amazon has it available at a retail price of $80.

The company has also released an accompanying 2026 Día De Muertos Ken doll, which features Barbie’s companion in an embroidered crimson-colored jacket, skeleton-inspired shirt and pants, and a striking skeleton mask. Ken’s look is finished off with a removable black top hat with red rose detailing.

COLLECTOR’S ITEM

Barbie Signature Día De Muertos Collectible Ken Doll

$80

The official Día De Muertos Ken doll also comes in a custom display box with Day of the Dead-inspired motifs throughout. A certificate of authenticity is also included for this collector-worthy item.

Both of the dolls are dressed for a gala or masquerade ball, and show off some of the most intricate designs we’ve seen on a Barbie release in recent years. Last year’s doll, for example, featured a comparatively simpler ruffle dress, with painted-on face makeup.

Part of Mattel’s “signature” collection, the brand says the “Barbie Día De Muertos series honors the customs, symbols and rituals often seen throughout this festive time of remembrance,” and is sure to “become a treasured tradition for your celebration.”

These Día De Los Muertos dolls are only released once a year and do not get restocked, making them another covetable entry in the Barbie canon. You can shop the Barbie and Ken dolls now on Amazon.com.

The Día De Muertos Barbies come on the heels of Mattel’s official 2026 Holiday Barbie release, which dropped last month.
