Selma Blair’s Service Dog Scout Is the Belle of the Ball, Snuggling with Stars at 2025 ‘Vanity Fair’ Oscar Party

Selma Blair’s service dog, Scout, may have attended the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar Party to assist the actress, but in reality, she was the star of the evening!

The yellow labrador posed on the red carpet outside the event with the Legally Blonde star, who wore a strapless, sequined, monochrome Monique Lhuillier gown, which she teamed with pointy pumps and slicked-back blond hair.

But it was inside the bash — held at the Wallis Annenberg Centre for the Performing Arts after the Oscars ceremony on the evening of Sunday, Mar. 2 — that Scout really got into the party spirit.

House of Cards star Patricia Clarkson, 65, hugged Scout on the floor in another photo while another image showed him looking up to Orange is the New Black’s Cox, 52.

“He’s with me all the time. If I fall into a big [muscle] spasm or have some trouble moving and need to recalibrate, he can get between my legs, help me get up, and balance me. It’s given me a lot of independence.”

The Cruel Intentions star added that Scout has “kept [her] moving and helped [her] build stamina.

Scout also received the all-important seal of approval from her son Arthur, 13, who she shares with her fashion designer ex Jason Bleick.

“My son, when he goes to his dad’s, he loves knowing Scout is by my side,” she said.
