Tom Pelphrey Reveals How He and Kaley Cuoco Are Preparing for Baby No. 2
Tom Pelphrey is ready for whatever task fatherhood brings.
After all, as the Task star celebrated his Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series win at the 2026 Emmys, he shared how he, his fiancée Kaley Cuocoand their 3-year-old daughter Matilda are preparing to welcome another baby into their home.
"We're both so excited," Pelphrey exclusively told E! News backstage at the 2026 Emmys on Sept. 14. "Our daughter's excited. We'll see how it goes when the baby actually gets there, but switching rooms, swapping things around and laughing at how different it is from one to two."
While he expects some experiences to be new after the Big Bang actress—who shared in June that they are expecting a girl—gives birth to their second, he added that there will also be "things that feel like not a big deal this time." (See all the winners here.)
The Ozark actor revealed that he and Cuoco have even chosen a name for their daughter, although the biggest night in television will likely not be her namesake.
"That was not the plan," he playfully teased. "We have one. We always leave open the possibility that she'll sort of declare herself. So we'll see."
Nonetheless, Pelphrey has a simple hope for Cuoco and their daughter. As he put it, "Mom and baby are healthy, so God willing, that keeps up. We're thrilled."
It was a golden night for the couple—who got engaged in 2024 after two years of dating—as Pelphrey gave a sweet shoutout to his love while accepting his first-ever Emmy.

"To my favorite actor in this room, my love, my best friend, my partner, the very pregnant Kaley Cuoco," he said from the Peacock Theatre stage in Los Angeles. "I love you more than anything, and our family is the crown jewel of my life."
While a visibly emotional Cuoco wiped tears from her eyes during the speech, he also had some loving words for their toddler and baby.
"Daddy loves you," he continued. "Baby girl in that belly, Daddy loves you."
